About LifeBank
A Nigerian healthtech app that helps hospitals find and receive critical medical supplies (like blood, oxygen) quickly. LifeBank maintains a digital inventory of blood available across blood banks and uses an app to connect hospitals in urgent need with the nearest available supply. Once a request is made, LifeBank dispatches a certified courier (by bike or even drone/boat for hard-to-reach areas) to deliver the blood unit or oxygen cylinder in record time – often within 30–45 minutes in city areas. Founded by Temie Giwa-Tubosun in 2016, LifeBank has saved thousands of lives by reducing blood shortage deaths. It expanded services to include vaccines and medicines delivery, and operates in Nigeria and Kenya. The LifeBank app also enables blood donors to find donation drives. By combining mapping, smart logistics, and a network of drivers, LifeBank tackles a deadly healthcare challenge with efficiency and impact.
